Desired Candidate Profile:

Anna University, Chennai is organizing Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme (TNSLPP) 2011-12, for the Present Final Year (2012 Passing Out) Students studying in Self Financing Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu.

The final year students of B.E. / B.Tech. (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE & IT) with an CGPA of 7.9 and above (No Standing Arrears) from I Semester to VII Semester are eligible to participate.

It is mandatory that all the students should secure an average of 70% and above marks consistently from 10th Std. and 12th Std.

It is requested that the Principal / Placement Officers of the College should verify the marks of the students and certify their eligibility to attend the campus placement.

M/s Cognizant Technology Solutions, has kindly agreed to participate in this Placement Programme during 8th & 9th March 2012. Centre for University Industry Collaboration, Anna University Chennai is conducting this programme at P.S.N.A. College of Engineering & Technology, Kothandaraman Nagar, Dindigul - 624 622 for the 2012 Passing Out Students.

Eligibility Criteria for IT IS – PAT:

1. 2012 pass out candidates
2. B.E/B. Tech (CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE & IT)
3. Minimum 70% in 10th & 12th
4. CGPA of 7.9 and above
5. No standing arrears
6. Willingness to relocate across any Cognizant work locations
7. Willingness to work in 24/7 Shifts

Job Description:

1. Remote monitoring and managing client IT infrastructure like servers, operating
2. systems, databases, network, IT help desk etc.
3. Supporting Cognizant clients on troubleshooting issues related to software,
4. hardware & networking
5. Understanding problems and providing remote technical resolutions
6. Escalating issues to specialized support groups for highly technical issues
7. Coordinating with customers and support groups for tracking status, providing
8. updates and confirmation

Selection Process:

1. Written Test for all the Candidates
2. Group Discussion for Shortlisted Candidates
3. Interview for candidates shortlisted in Group Discussion
4. English proficiency in terms of Pronunciation, Articulation and Speed

Financing Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu.

Students who have already paid the Registration Fee for the academic year 2011-2012 should bring their CUIC Placement Passport Book without fail.

Candidates who wants to register for the first time have to pay one time Registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) each in the form of a Demand draft drawn in favour of The Director, CUIC, Anna University payable at Chennai.

The Principal / Placement Officer may collect the Registration Fee from the students and make One Consolidated Demand Draft and submit the Demand Draft along with the Name List, Registration No., Branch and Annexure-I through courier with the soft copy of the students list as per the enclosed format to the CUIC, Anna University, Chennai on or before 02.03.2012. The Principals / Placement Officers are requested to direct all the eligible candidates who have been satisfying the terms and conditions mentioned in Annexure–II to report at P.S.N.A. College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul on 08.03.2012 at 7.30 a.m.
