Job Description:

Associate Test Engineer will be an integral member of the team that builds NCR’s award-winning products and services. Involvement of the Associate Test Engineer will span the development life-cycle, including planning, designing, development and maintenance. We are looking for a Test Engineer who has strong computer science fundamentals to join our elite team of product testing professionals. We are looking for an innovative candidate who will provide testing support to different aspects of the software development life cycle:

• Software Design and specification – Prepare test strategy and design test cases


• Test Management: Assist project manager for preparing test plan and effort estimation


• Unit Testing – establish unit test readiness position


• Testing – Rigorous testing to ensure that product meets the business requirements.


• Participating in code and document reviews.


• Report and track Defects for resolution

The Associate Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that solutions meet business needs by:

• Auditing/Supporting the early stages of the development life cycle until Unit/Component Test Complete.


• Support developing and executing an effective integration test plan, including supporting documentation.


• Create the software integration test specifications


• Prepare Test Logs, maintain Test Results.


• Identifying, characterising and reporting defects found during testing


• Reviewing technical documentation (e.g. information products and customer training) as required.


• Working with the development teams and other test engineers to encourage the use of best practice test tools and techniques throughout the software development lifecycle.


• Building and developing knowledge of available test practices and tools


• Develop and maintain product knowledge


• Continuously identifying lessons learned and opportunities for improvement during the course of the project and providing feedback to the project team.
